Examination of internal derangement with computer aided methods.

(Computergestützte Untersuchungsverfahren in der Funktionsdiagnostik).

Behr, M. Handel, G.

For the years temporomandibular joint disorders have been examined with electronic condylar movement recordings. The axiographic findings should reference to the seriousness of the disease. In literature, there exists a discussion about the certainty of diagnosis of 2D axiographic pathways. This study shows that 3D axiographic and magnetic-resonance-imaging are necessary to come to a certain diagnosis of internal derangement.
